Meet the Coaches
Tracy Moore – Head Coach
My nickname was “Sport Billy” at school because I was always playing sport. I played netball throughout my time at school and college and have rarely missed a season as a grown up. After nearly 20 years in current affairs and sports journalism, I left the BBC to become a sports coach. I qualified as a Level 2 Netball Coach in 2011, and set up Dorchester Netball shortly afterwards. It is my dream to build an indoor netball centre, but in the meantime I will wrap up against the elements and make sure anyone that wants to play netball gets the opportunity to do so.
Sam Shewbridge
I was one of those people who came to adult netball having not played since school. Safe to say I do not remember it being as fast or exciting as it is! I qualified as a level 1 coach in May 2019 and hope to complete my level 2 qualification some time in 2020. I play netball as many times as possible in the week, both for fun and competitively. I also try and watch as many live super league and international matches as I can (when they don’t get snowed off!) I am so passionate about netball and I hope to pass that passion on through my coaching so that others can get fit, keep active and make friends for life through the teams and clubs they play for.
Donna Butcher
I have always loved any sport and will always give anything a try. My main passion is netball having played throughout school I had a break returning later in my adult life.
I’m very competitive and love playing as much as I can. I also umpire and I am still learning and I do this to ensure we can play competitively within our adult league.
